Loïc is a sales manager in Aviation and works daily with aircraft manufacturers and airlines throughout France and Germany. This isn’t his first position in Saft: in the five years he has worked here, he has held three different jobs in various industry sectors. This opportunity for growth is one of his favorite characteristics of Saft. And though the company offers benefits like those found in larger organizations, he also appreciates the small teams and family environment more characteristic of smaller firms. To him, Saft offers the best of both worlds in this aspect.
In Aviation, Loïc works on complex projects – and enjoys the challenges they bring. This complexity is partly because of the technology required, but also because backup batteries must be a risk-free insurance, so only excellence is accepted. Loïc gets to collaborate with different stakeholders on large, important projects, such as ATR regional airliners’ upgrade to Saft’s ULM® (Ultra Low Maintenance) batteries. This upgrade will allow ATR42 and ATR72 fleet operators to reduce their maintenance costs by at least a dollar for each flight hour, while saving more than one kilogram of weight compared with the existing batteries.
Loïc holds a Master’s in International Trade from Lille 1 University, which is not the most common in his position. This is coherent with his advice to anyone interested in working at Saft: keep an open mind. Lots of opportunities for different activities and sectors are available within the company.
In and outside of work, Loïc loves traveling. He has visited over 40 countries, including some thanks to Saft. He doesn’t want to stop here though and plans on discovering many more.
